Melissa A. Bogle, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist and Director of The Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Center of Houston. She received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and completed medical school and dermatology residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She then completed advanced fellowship training in cosmetic and laser surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Bogle has extensive experience in laser and cosmetic dermatology, with particular emphasis on the thoughtful selection and application of laser, light, and energy-based technologies. Throughout her career, Dr. Bogle has worked with laser and medical-device companies in the development of new technologies and the refinement of existing systems for a variety of dermatologic applications. She has authored numerous scientific articles and book chapters and has lectured nationally and internationally on laser technology and cosmetic dermatology. Her published work includes subjects such as ablative and non-ablative resurfacing, fractional resurfacing, skin tightening and other energy-based technologies, the treatment of facial telangiectasias and diffuse erythema, botulinum toxin, laser treatment of acne and acne scarring, and evaluation and treatment of the aging face.
Dr. Bogle has served on the faculty of educational programs for physicians, including the Art and Science of Dermal Fillers Course of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Laser Treatment of Vascular Lesions Course of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She has also served as an expert injector, training other physicians in dermal fillers and cosmetic injectable treatments.
Her professional leadership and service have included serving as Past President of the Houston Dermatological Society. She has served on the Standards of Training Committee of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and on the Reputation Task Force of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She also served as an elected member of the Harris County Medical Society Board of Ethics and as a member of its Public Grievance Committee. Her leadership in the Houston medical community is also reflected in her prior role as the Central Branch President of the Harris County Medical Society.
Dr. Bogle has been recognized by H Magazine as one of Houston’s Top Doctors, Top Professionals on the Fast Track, and Top Doctors for Kids.
